Message from Sir Ronald Cohen:

Dear Friends,

First, I’d like to begin by welcoming four new GSG team members who joined us this past quarter. Please join me in welcoming them to our movement:
  • Anne-Marie Harris is our Chief Operating Officer & Head of Finance, based in London (UK)
  • Meg Massey is our Director of Communications, based in Washington DC (USA)
  • Sukanya Narain is our Program Manager, based in Delhi NCR (India)
  • Francesca Spoerry is our Program Manager, based in London (UK)
Our team is now even better positioned to serve you globally. I hope you will all have a chance to meet them at the GSG Impact Summit 2018 in New Delhi, India. As you are aware, this year, we are expecting 900 impact leaders from more than 50 countries to gather in New Delhi. I want to thank the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation and Ford Foundation who are supporting the Summit, as well as our team who is working hard to curate an inspiring and informative Summit with motivating content, speakers, engagement and action. I look forward to seeing you in New Delhi on 8-9 October! Register now!

This past quarter offered my team and I a chance to meet many of you in person, in all corners of the globe. We began in February with the GSG Asia Tour which took the team to Delhi, Tokyo, and Seoul. I was inspired to hear first-hand from many Indian government Ministers that maintaining a focus on outcomes has become an absolute expectation of the Prime Minister, from budgeting to provision of public services. In Japan, my team and I met with many dedicated impact leaders, up for the task of designing the impact allocation of the country’s nearly $900 million of recently released unclaimed assets. In South Korea (one of our newest NAB countries), impact leaders are in the midst of discussing how an Impact Wholesaler could provide a valuable platform for investing in the country’s burgeoning social entrepreneurship sector. The team also recently witnessed how momentum is growing in Latin America at the FLII, and in other parts of the world.

I hope you are enjoying Spring, and look forward to being in touch in the coming months.

Do Good, Do Well!
