Tomas Rizzo has joined the GSG Policy Team as Policy Associate in January 2020.
He has a BA in Economics from Torcuato Di Tella University (UTDT) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Before joining the GSG, he worked for Argentina’s Secretary of Social and Urban Integration as advisor to the Secretary of State. Here, he coordinated the development and implementation of projects promoting the integration of approximately 4 million Argentineans living in informal settlements.
Prior to this, Tomas worked almost two years as an analyst in the cabinet of the Province of Buenos Aires. He specifically worked in the strategic planning and coordination of most of the areas of government, specifically through consultancy projects and research reports for several ministries and the former governor.
As an undergraduate student, he was coordinator of the “Pregnancy Program” for Haciendo Camino, a non-profit organization devoted to fighting child malnutrition in the north of Argentina. His work included fundraising and coordination of workshops and medical assistance for underprivileged pregnant teenagers.
