Horacio Pavez Aro is co-founder and member of the board of The Impact and founder and chairman of Fundación Emprender, an impact organization that supports small and medium-sized companies in Chile. Mr Pavez is partner and member of the board of Lumni Inc. USA, and former chairman of Lumni Chile, an impact investing organization working on education and investing in human capital in the ISA industry. Mr. Pavez is also a member of the board of Fundación Chile Dual, a foundation that links students of technical schools during the last two years of their education with companies that require their skills and background. He is a supporter of America Solidaria, a nonprofit that works in ten countries of Latin America, developing projects on health, environment, nutrition, education, water, and power supply, serving impoverished communities by helping people improve their quality of life.
Over the past 20years, Mr. Pavez has been Counselor of the Chilean Chamber of Construction, a nonprofit organization with more than 14 affiliated foundations that work in areas of education, health, housing, sports, social support, and culture giving services to more than eight million people in Chile. Mr. Pavez graduated as a civil engineer from the Universidad de Chile, and has an M.B.A. from Loyola Maryland. He is a member of the board of Sigdo Koppers S.A., a global conglomerate in mining services, and is also a partner of Security Group, a financial holding based in Santiago de Chile.
