Eric and his team created the flagship BlackRock Global Impact public-markets equity strategy, which invests in alignment with the precepts and standards first pioneered in private-equity impact investing. Eric also partners with other BlackRock investment teams to develop new impact investment strategies, and with clients to better understand their unmet needs in sustainable investment. Eric started his career as a US diplomat and later a World Bank economist; he brought his impact strategy very recently to BlackRock after a long career at Wellington Management.
