Shannon is a World Economic Forum Social Entrepreneur, one of 15 Women Changing the World, and on CNBC’s Next List for her dedication to bringing solutions to difficult situations, using core design and anthropological methods. The mother of two daughters, she lives in Nairobi, Kenya. She holds a PhD, UC Berkeley, and BA, Harvard.
