PART 2

Part #2

BOOSTING CAPITAL FLOWS IN EMERGING MARKETS

22 Sept, 12:00 – 16:30 BST

Join us on Thursday 22 September, when we explore the barriers to investment in the SDGs in emerging markets, focus on innovative solutions and showcase impact investment instruments employed by investors across established asset classes. You will hear from major asset owners and managers, development finance institutions and local actors already implementing solutions in places where they are needed most.

We will demonstrate that it is possible to channel capital and scale up investments using existing instruments and through blended finance products that have already proven effective in achieving, even exceeding, expected levels of return.

Impact transparency is crucial for our shared future

We are facing an ever more urgent climate crisis with all its massive harms to nature, people and their livelihoods. Impact transparency is a key part of the solution to this crisis. Global harmonised standards and regulatory reporting will pave the way for the public to have trust in the impact statements provided by investors and companies. And impact valuation will show where our impact efforts can be deployed best, for the benefit of all people and our shared planet.

Building on demand for short, sharp and influential events, the GSG is proud to present THREE ONLINE EVENTS across the year. They will explore key developments in the impact sector that deliver impact transparency and help mobilise capital at scale in order to transition to a net-zero economy that leaves no one behind.

Last year the GSG played an instrumental role in coordinating the work of the Impact Taskforce (ITF), established under the 2021 UK Presidency of the G7 and in collaboration with the Impact Investing Institute, which made powerful recommendations in these areas. We are delighted to share the latest developments with you and to explore how we can bring the recommendations to life, through collaboration and action. Join us for the GSG Impact Summit Series 2022!

Please find the GSG Impact Summit Series FAQs below. If you do not find the answer to your question here, please feel free to contact us at GSGConcierge@gsgii.org, and we will be pleased to assist you.

About the series

What is the Summit language?

Answer: All sessions will take place in English.

Is there a published agenda?

Answer: The agenda for each individual part of the Series will be published approximately 6 weeks in advance.

Can I speak or submit a topic?

Answer: Due to the very specialised nature of the topics, we are not seeking speaker submissions for the Series this year.

Ticketing

Can I purchase a Pass for just one part of the Series?

Answer: Yes you can. Tickets for Part 2 and Parts 2-3 combined are available now.  Note that you will save on your Passes by purchasing Parts 2 & 3 together.

Which ticket should I purchase?

Answer: Participants from GSG National Advisory Boards (NABs), emerging economies, civil society organisations and social entrepreneurs are eligible for the discounted ‘Impact Pass’. All other participants should register for the ‘General Pass’.

NABs may use their code against the Impact Pass.

How can I purchase a ticket?

Answer: We accept American Express, China UnionPay (CUP), Discover & Diners, Mastercard and Visa. We are unable to accept payment by bank transfer.

Can I share my pass with a colleague?

Answer: Passes may not be shared and log-ins are unique to each individual registrant.

Fees

Why do you charge for this event?

Answer: We are sensitive to budget constraints in the current climate, however we do incur costs to stage the Series, so we are charging a minimal price for access. Participants won’t need to travel (plus it’s better for the environment!) and the ticket prices are lower than an in-person Summit as we do not have venue or catering costs.

Why is there a fee added to my ticket?

Answer: The fees (10% + US$0.30 per ticket) are charged by Stripe, the ticket payment provider.

Is there a discount for purchasing more than one part of the Series?

Answer: Yes, save by purchasing a pass to Parts 2 & 3 of the Series, by 22 September.

Is there a discount for NABs?

Answer: A discounted rate is available to NAB members against the ‘Impact Pass’ tickets. Please contact your NAB Chair/CEO for details of how to register using a code. We regret that we cannot issue refunds to NAB members that inadvertently pay for a ticket.

Is there a discount for bulk ticket purchases?

Answer: If you wish to purchase more than 20 tickets together, please contact us.

What is the cancellation policy?

Answer: Refunds are not available but if you can no longer attend, you may substitute your ticket with a colleague. Please email GSGConcierge@gsgii.org by 15 September to request a substitution for Part 2. N.B. All log-in IDs are unique to the registrant and cannot be shared.
