This report, written by the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN) in partnership with Open Capital Advisors, is a “state of the market” analysis of the impact investing industry in East Africa. It includes detailed chapters for Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Rwanda, plus less in depth chapters on six additional countries on the region. It examines the supply of global impact investment capital as well as the demand for investment resources from small and medium enterprises, social enterprises, and others who aim to drive social and environmental impact through the private sector.
